Amongst Giants

 

Giants do exist. We live amongst them day to day. Some of them use us, step on us and abuse us; others see our likeness and carry us along on their shoulder. Most pay us no mind at all.

So how do you speak to a giant, whose ears are miles from your stature? How can they see you when their peripheral gaze leaves you in a blur? It seems impossible to coexist. 

We must become giants.

Although I've replaced most of my equipment from my robbery almost a year ago, one thing that cannot be replaced are the moments in time saved to my old hard drive. I'm gradually rebuilding my portfolio, but there is still a hole where many great shots used to be.  

Fortunately I've been posting and publishing my photos for quite some time. After some digging around and a bit of ripping from the internet (which can be a hassle apparently), I have retrieved some favorites from my old portfolio.

"Black Swan" by Wiggs

You may remember Andrew Wiggs from The Hip-Hop Meets Classical Project last summer. If you find Wiggs now he's still putting in work to get off Standby and hop in first class (referring to his latest album release Flying Standby). 

He and I recently teamed up to put together a short for his single "Black Swan".

This single tells the story of an uphill battle to make a relationship work. In this short I came together with Wiggs and the lovely Kayla Steen, to portray the tensing struggle of a love gone stale. 

As always it was a pleasure working with such talent. Here are a few stills from the film. Enjoy the full version below. 

It's Been A While

I haven't been able to publish like I'd like to over the past few months. Thanks to the hard work of thieves, I have lacked the proper equipment. But without further ado.....

When Things Were Cool

Recently found some old film prints from back in the day. They were taken on the first film camera I inherited; a Nikon N8008. Just thought I'd share some roots.
