Jibri found stability in freelance photography with his father, while he also worked as a lab tech at Serenbe Photography Center, under nature photographer Katherine Kolbe. This helped him practice his contract work and also expand his knowledge of the art itself. During this time he made connections with veteran photographers and learned definite steps of the craft; from the first glance into the viewfinder, to framing and curating a piece. These steps of the trade came in much use once he joined ABV Gallery and Agency (Atlanta, Ga), where he continued his work in photography and also developed his skills in video editing. He was granted the opportunity to record the collective works of artist in a very thriving street art and design scene in Atlanta. This array of street and substrate based artists include Greg Mike, Ash Lethal, AC Bananas, PLF, Wolf Dog, Ola Bad, Trey Moseley, Brandon Sadler and more.
Jibri is now co-founder of the artist collective CMLG (Creative Minds Lifestyle Group). As an artist of CMLG, he offers his services in design, photography, and video shooting/ editing, while also working to mature his expressive style. His works have explored everywhere from landscape & fashion, to nightlife & documentary photography. Jibri now focuses on expanding his skill in the arts and expressing beauty in all it’s natural forms. His most recent works, including his mini-series Night Train (soon to be released), show the life behind seemingly stagnant subjects. He aims to narrate a story through the characteristics of the things that surround us, and spread its message to the masses.
